Talks have been progressing well between the two clubs over the last 24 hours, with sources saying everything is going to plan, and one area that has seen significant progress has been in the construction of the deal.
While direct swaps are hugely complicated to complete in general, there is also the issue here United would have to pay an additional fee to Everton, following clauses from the 2017 signing of the Belgian.
Two separate deals for Dybala and Lukaku thereby look far likelier. Both players have indicated their willingness to move, although personal terms are not yet agreed.
Inter Milan are meanwhile on the brink of withdrawing their interest for Lukaku, as they realise they have fallen so far behind Juve in the pursuit.
They will instead turn to a move for Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani.
