With Manchester United's faltering season potentially ending with no trophies and failure to qualify for the Champions League, speculation over possible moves in the transfer market are ramping up.

It seems the club could take a step back to go forward amid talk that former captain Nemanja Vidic could return.

The Serbian has failed to cement a first XI place at Inter Milan following his switch last summer and his agent has given credence to the possibility he could be playing elsewhere next season by refusing to confirm his client is certain to remain at the San Siro beyond the current campaign.

"Inter are a great club, and any player would be happy to wear the Nerazzurri shirt," said Silvano Martina.

"Will he be at Inter next season? I’m not a magician, I can’t see the future."

Radamel Falcao looks increasingly likely to depart Old Trafford when his loan deal from Monaco expires and that's leading to speculation over who could be brought in to replace the Colombian.

Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has reportedly been watched by Van Gaal's scouts and a move for the hotshot 21-year-old is a possibility. His club indicated during the January transfer window that the Argentinian could be sold in the summer. 12 goals in 25 appearances this term has seen him linked with a host of other sides though.

Meanwhile a potential move for Dani Alves, who will be out of contract with Barcelona at the end of the season, looks to have hit the rocks.

According to Marca the Brazil international has already agreed a three-year deal with PSG worth around £100,000-a-week. The report comes hot on the heels of his agent suggesting his client was in talks with another club.
