Leicester City have signed Manchester United youngster Louis Rowley on a one-year deal, making him the second player to make such a move in the last three months.

Jack Barmby, son of former England midfielder Nicky, arrived in Leicester from the 20-time English champions in May.

Rowley, 19, could make his debut for Leicester's development squad on Monday, when Steve Beaglehole's team face Loughborough Dynamo in a pre-season friendly.

Born in Nuneaton, Rowley was orginially at Walsall before moving to United as a 15-year-old.

He is described on the Leicester City website as a "strong, aggressive player, blessed with a great engine and appetite for a tackle".
