The Turin club are thought to be keen on the French international although it is understood Louis van Gaal would like to keep him at Old Trafford.
Juventus have reportedly offered Evra a two-year, £55,000-a-week deal in an attempt to lure him to Serie A.
With the 33-year-old nearing the end of his career, first-team football is understandably a priority, and with the arrival of Luke Shaw at Old Trafford, the Frenchman may feel his future lies elsewhere.
However Van Gaal is understood to be keen to persuade him to stay, knowing his popularity with the fans and experience could prove vital as he takes charge at the club.
United are currently rumoured to be pursuing Chilean star midfielder Arturo Vidal, one of Juventus' prize possessions, so this may have an effect on the success of their negotiations for Evra.
