Your support makes all the difference.David De Gea’s innocuous change of Facebook profile picture has worried some Manchester United fans, who suspect that he could be signalling a move away from Old Trafford.
The new image shows an artist’s impression of the goalkeeper celebrating, which may not seem too controversial at first, until you notice that the shirt’s club badge has been removed.
The manufacturer’s three stripes remain, as well as some shading and shirt details, but Manchester United’s crest is absent from the 25-year-old’s chest.

The comments underneath De Gea's post feature many supporters debating whether there is a hidden subtext to De Gea's innocent change of picture.
Such is the modern game, there are those out there who read a lot, and maybe too much, into the social media profiles of football players.
After the ups and downs they experienced during the last transfer window, perhaps it’s understandable that a few Manchester United fans are nervous about De Gea.
Only an administrative error prevented the Spaniard from moving to hometown club Real Madrid hours before the last deadline in August.
Soon after, De Gea signed a new contract, committing himself to the Old Trafford club for a further four years.
Despite his new deal, speculation continues to surround the ‘keeper’s future, with many believing that the contract was signed in order to allow United to fetch a larger fee for their player.
De Gea has won the club’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for the last two seasons running and is widely regarded as the Premier League’s best ‘keeper.
