Angel Di Maria is set to choose between Manchester United and Paris St Germain, with a decision expected in the next few days according to reports.

Real Madrid have indicated to possible suitors that the winger is on the market but now the Argentina international must select his destination.

According to Spanish radio station Cope, Di Maria is weighing up a move to Old Trafford or the French capital. It's also claimed that representatives for the 26-year-old have indicated a decision could be made over the weekend.

Di Maria is a part of the exodus currently taking place at the Bernabeu following the arrivals of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.

Manchester United are understood to be interested in a possible £40m deal for the player however new manager Louis van Gaal is keen to assess his current squad before making any move. Interest from French champions PSG may encourage him to speed up any decision.

The winger whose rebounded shot led to the match-winning goal in May's Champions League final appears an ideal fit at United where there has been a dearth of top-quality wingers for some time. The player who helped Argentina reach the World Cup final in Brazil would surely represent a better wide option to Van Gaal than Ashley Young or Nani.

Manchester United must hope that their inability to offer Champions League football next season doesn't count against them.
