Manchester United may have finally completed the signing of Alexis Sanchez but still the transfer speculation will not let up.

Lucas Moura’s name was touted in the weeks before Sanchez’s signing and the Paris Saint-Germain winger has been speaking about his future again.

The 25-year-old, who has struggled for regular playing time in Paris this season, has described his lack of first-team football as “a brutal blow”.

“I’m gutted that I’m no longer playing, to no longer be able to express myself as I was doing before,” he said.

Lucas has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur as well as United, though he would consider a switch to Spain. “It is true that La Liga could suit me,” he added.

Jose Mourinho was understood to be in the market for a central midfielder at the start of the window, with Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic one of several names to be linked.

According to Tuttosport, however, Kovacic’s former club Internazionale lead the race for his signature after their failure to snare Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, Matteo Darmian’s United future may only be resolved at the end of the season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian sports daily reports that Roma have enquired about taking the full back on loan this month, only to be told no ‘for now’ by United.
