The likes of Gareth Bale, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller all linked with Old Trafford arrivals this summer, while the endless rumours of a Cristiano Ronaldo return continue to spiral out of control despite Real Madrid’s insistence that he is going nowhere.
But United manager Louis van Gaal insists that he will look to sign a “Galactico” this summer, prompting plenty of speculation over who could actually make the move and join Wayne Rooney in attack this season.
With a whole host of big names across Europe reportedly on the United radar though, we asked United fans who they would want to see complete a transfer before transfer deadline day.
See the results below:
Unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo leads the way on 27% with over 4500 votes, and has 1,000 more than his closest competitor in Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller.
His Bayern team-mate Robert Lewandowski sits in third with 16% of the vote, leaving Bale, Harry Kane, Karim Benzema, Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain trailing in their wake.
