Radamel Falcao has put Manchester City and Chelsea on alert after he said he was uncertain over where his future lies and admitted any decisions were out of his hands.

The Atletico Madrid striker has been enjoying a fine season in La Liga, scoring 13 goals in nine appearances to propel his side to second in the Primera Division, ahead of Real Madrid and behind Barcelona only on goal difference.

His performances have led to the 26-year-old being heavily linked with a move, with Manchester City and Chelsea among those put forward as possible destinations for the Colombian international.

"I am calm. I don't even know what I'm doing tomorrow," Falcao said when asked by Ball Point about his future plans.

"I am happy here and enjoying things at present. I am not thinking about leaving, only in playing this season, and I hope everything goes well.

"The club has needs and it depends on certain results. There are many factors. The economy of the club, entering the Champions League.

"Later, Atletico and the responsible people will decide what to do with my future. Many times the players are the last to know."

Falcao, who is on the 23-man shortlist for the Fifa Ballon D'Or which was released yesterday, has also been linked with a switch across the city to reigning La Liga champions Real Madrid.
