Mario Balotelli will leave Liverpool this summer and Besiktas are interested in signing the striker, according to his agent Mino Raiola.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Milan, who sold him to the Merseyside club for a fee of £16million just under two years ago.

Balotelli failed to seize upon his second chance at the San Siro, scoring just three goals in 23 appearances, and the Serie A side are not interested in re-signing him permanently.

Raiola, who has represented Balotelli since 2010, told Spox.com.tr: “I offered Mario to Besiktas and I'm waiting for their answer.

“But I'm quite sure the transfer will happen, as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him.”

Balotelli registered just one league goal for Liverpool during his single season at Anfield, having joined the club following the departure of the free-scoring Luis Suarez.

The Italy international, who was left out of Antonio Conte’s 23-man squad for this summer’s European Championship, now faces a fresh start in Turkey.

Balotelli has not scored more than a single league goal in a season since 2013/14, when he notched 14 for Milan.
