Your support makes all the difference.Liverpool’s defensive options could be in for a major overhaul this summer with contract talks with Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger both suffering set-backs, according to reports.
Johnson has 12 months remaining on his current deal but the club have decided to offer him just another year on top and it is believed that the right-back wants a longer deal.
The 29-year-old is currently away with England on World Cup preparations and Liverpool are understood to not be willing to revise their offer as of yet, as reported by the Daily Mail.
With Brendan Rodgers looking at recruiting new players to his squad that will play in the Champions League next season, such as Southampton’s Dejan Lovren and Chelsea's Ashley Cole, the future of Agger has become a major doubt.
The Dane failed to claim consistent starts under Rodgers this season and told Ekstra Bladet that he will not be a ‘third choice’ centre-back for anyone.
The 29-year-old said: "It definitely wasn't great [being on the bench] but I don't make the decisions. I think it is because the manager doesn't think that I'm good enough.
"[My future at Liverpool is] up to the manager. I can't go and put myself on the team sheet. I'm no-one's third choice."
