Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers remains interested in a deal to lure Borussia Dortmund Marco Reus to Anfield - but faces stiff competition from arch rivals Manchester United.
The German World Cup winner has long been linked with a switch to the Premier League but his club insist he is going nowhere.
"The boys are 100 percent here and I have a positive feeling that the player we are talking about (Reus) will stay a bit longer," Jurgen Klopp said this week.
Andy Carroll takes aim...
Former Reds striker Andy Carroll has told The Times that he 'lost respect for manager Rodgers shortly before leaving for West Ham.
He revealed: "He’d say, 'you’re going to play every week, you’re going to play every game with Suarez up front.' I’d leave and get home and he’d ring me and say, 'Fulham and West Ham want you, I think it’s best you should go' when I’d just had a different conversation with him 10 minutes ago."
Liverpool plan for Gerrard departure...
With Steven Gerrard set to leave for La Galaxy in the summer, Rodgers is eyeing a move for Hannover skipper Lars Stindl.
According to talkSPORT, the former Swansea City head coach is desperate to replace Gerrard quickly and avoid another season of transition for the Reds.
His club's sporting director, Dirk Dufner, recently said: "He’s our most important and valuable player."
