From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The Serbia winger Milos Krasic has stated his desire to leave Juventus this summer in a move that is likely to attract interest among different clubs in Europe.
The former CSKA Moscow player was linked with moves to Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham as well as Zenit St Petersburg of Russia during the January transfer window, and he said that he may have made a mistake in not leaving Juventus, instead believing he still had a chance of impressing at the Turin club.
However, Krasic now admits he now has no future there and is set to move on following the conclusion of the current campaign after two seasons in Serie A. He told a Serbian newspaper, Vecernje Novosti: "It is obvious there is no room for me, I was written off. Thus, there is nothing new, I'm training the best I can, I want to stay completely physically fit, in good shape, so when summer comes, I can find a new environment."
He added: "At the end of the transfer window Tottenham Hotspur and Zenit made loan bids but I decided to stay, I believed that I would get another chance at Juventus. I judged it wrongly, now it turns out it was better that I left. I'll wait another month until the end of the championship and we'll part ways."
Kaiserslautern are set to appoint Krasimir Balakov as coach of the relegation-threatened team after Marco Kurz was sacked on Tuesday, a source close to the Bulgarian said yesterday. Balakov was a member of the Bulgarian team who finished fourth at the 1994 World Cup.
