Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Galatasaray winger Kevin Grosskreutz, according to reports in Turkey.

The German, 27, played for Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund and was a key part of the side that won successive Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012.

Usually a left-winger, the World Cup winner can play on either flank and also at full back.

Turkish newspaper Takvim report that personal terms have already been decided ahead of a January move to Anfield.

Grosskreutz is yet to play for Galatasaray as the Turkish club failed to complete relevant documents before the transfer deadline. He has been banned from playing until the January window, but the Turkish report states that Grosskreutz is said to be unhappy with how careless the club were in handling his situation.

The report says that the deal would be worth around €2.5million (£1.8m) and could be announced within 10 days.

Grosskreutz has been linked with Arsenal in the past.
