Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has again stated that his club are not chasing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

The French striker has been continually linked with a move to north London this summer, and in many years past, but Wenger denies being interested.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has stated that the Gunners can win the title if they sign the £45million striker, but Wenger is convinced he has enough firepower in his squad already.

"I never came out on Benzema," said Wenger at his pre-match press conference.

"It is just media talk. When [Alexis] Sanchez and [Danny] Welbeck are back we feel we have the needed striking force."

Wenger confirmed that Sanchez, who has been given an extended break after helping Chile win the Copa America, will be back "in 10 days".
