The Italian side currently lead Serie A by six points, but are eager to sign a proven goal scorer in the summer.
They currently have Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner on loan and during the January transfer window brought in former Chelsea forward Nicolas Anelka. However, neither are seen as long-term solutions.
Having missed out on Robin van Persie last summer, the reigning Champions of Italy will be looking to make waves when the window next opens, and Tardelli has urged them to sign Suarez.
"It's obvious that a striker who scores 20 goals a season would be a good addition for any team. Good players are not cheap, though," Tardelli told Tuttosport. "Suarez would be ideal due to his power, technique and directness."
Suarez scored a hat-trick against Wigan at the weekend to take his Premier League tally to 21 for the season in what is proving to be the Uruguyan's best campaign at Anfield since joining from Ajax.
Despite the attention he is sure to receive during the summer, Suarez recently said he was "happy" and "comfortable" on Merseyside.
Tardelli concedes that buying the Liverpool striker may not be possible. He said: "I'd say signing him could be a complicated matter. (Gonzalo) Higuain could be a more realistic option."
