Joe Hart transfer news: Manchester City goalkeeper given permission to fly to Torino to complete loan move

Joe Hart has taken a short break from England's World Cup camp to complete a loan move to Serie A side Torino.

Hart's agent Jonathan Barnett confirmed the move after the Football Association said on Monday night that the goalkeeper had been given permission to temporarily leave Sam Allardyce's squad for the opening World Cup qualifier in Slovakia on Sunday.

Barnett was quoted as saying by http://www.tuttosport.com: "Yes, Joe Hart will play with Torino. It's done.

"The player said yes to the club and also Manchester City have given the green light. It is all true. (On Tuesday) Hart will have a medical in Turin."

Hart is third choice at City following the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona, but has retained his place in Allardyce's first England squad.

The 29-year-old is expected to complete the formalities of a season-long loan move to Torino on Tuesday.

Asked about Hart's club situation on Monday morning, Allardyce said: "If there is anything in the pipeline, then hopefully Joe will tell us 'this may happen' and we can get ready for it."

Meanwhile, Leicester seem ready to follow Southampton and West Brom by breaking their transfer record.

Portugal midfielder Adrien Silva claims he will join the Premier League champions in a deal reported to be worth £21million, while the Foxes are also keen on his Sporting Lisbon team-mate, Algeria striker Islam Slimani.

Silva, 27, part of the Portugal squad which won Euro 2016, told Porto-based newspaper O Jogo: "Yes, I confirm this proposal. Leicester is very interesting and corresponds to my career goals."

Southampton broke their transfer record on Monday by signing attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal from Lille for a fee believed to be £16million.

The 22-year-old Morocco international agreed a five-year contract at St Mary's and said: "Southampton showed big interest in signing me, and I can see that this club is the best place for me to continue my progression as a footballer."

And just a few hours later West Brom signed Nacer Chadli from Tottenham for a club record £13million.

The Belgium winger has penned a four-year deal at The Hawthorns after three years at Spurs and becomes Albion's third signing of the summer.

"He's a top, top player and I'm delighted we've got him," Albion boss Tony Pulis said.

Albion were prepared to sell Saido Berahino for around £20million - with Stoke and Crystal Palace tabling bids around that figure - but it now looks unlikely he will leave.

Jeremain Lens fired a parting shot at Sunderland as he claimed he was set for a loan move to Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Lens joined Sunderland in an £8million transfer from Dynamo Kiev just over 12 months ago, but the Holland forward has made only 14 Premier League starts on Wearside.

"Sunderland would just love to get rid of me," Lens said ahead of what would be a reunion with his former Black Cats and PSV Eindhoven boss Dick Advocaat in Turkey.

"I did not play, was not even on the bench. I just had a problem with the club. What? No idea."

Liverpool have agreed a £6million deal to sell midfielder Luis Alberto to Lazio, while Watford have signed former Roma and Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka from Anderlecht.

Hull are expected to sign three players on Tuesday with Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall and Will Keane having reportedly undergone medicals at the KCOM Stadium.

The Tigers also hope to strengthen their midfield and are in talks with Tottenham's Ryan Mason, Derby's Jeff Hendrick and AZ Alkmaar's Markus Henriksen.
