Jamie Vardy to Arsenal: Rebekah Vardy hints at Leicester City striker's decision to move

Your support makes all the difference.Rebekah Vardy, the wife of the Leicester City striker Jamie, has been forced to defend herself from abuse on social media after Arsenal’s interest in signing her husband was made public.
The north London club expect to complete their surprise move for the England international in the next 24 hours, having met a release clause believed to be in the range of £20million.
Some users have subsequently vented their frustration at Rebekah and claimed that she had influenced any potential decision made by her husband to leave Leicester.
In response, Rebekah said she had no bearing on Jamie’s career.
“Listen LCFC fans don't come at me with abuse! I have nothing whatsoever to do with calling the shots in my husband's career! Its (sic) unfair,” she tweeted on Saturday.
A number of Arsenal fans, meanwhile, have taken her tweet and another complaining about traffic in London as near-confirmation that Vardy, the player, will move to their club.
Leicester are thought to be against the striker’s departure but are powerless to stop him from moving to another Champions League club for the agreed fee.
It is understood that the move was sanctioned by Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, who was in attendance to watch Vardy play in England’s 1-0 win over Portugal on Thursday.
The Gunners are confident of the deal being completed before Vardy travels to France with Roy Hodgson’s national squad ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
