Chelsea are believed to be eyeing Southampton striker Graziano Pelle with a view to a move in January in a bid to improve their form, with first-choice striker Diego Costa currently struggling to find the back of the net.

Costa has only scored three Premier League goals this season with the Blues struggling down in 16th position in the table, and despite manager Jose Mourinho’s declaration that he does not deserve new signings this season due to their poor form, at least one new face is expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

Italian news outlet CalcioNews24 are reporting that Pelle could be on his way to Chelsea with the Blues eyeing a move for the 30-year-old, while they are also being linked with Stoke striker Bojan Krkic along with Manchester United and Liverpool.

The former Barcelona forward has impressed this season after returning from a serious knee injury earlier in the year, and his performances this season have caught the eye despite scoring just three times himself. The Sun reports today that all three Premier League clubs are looking at a move for Bojan, who could cost as much as £15m.

Tottenham’s move for Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi will have to wait until the summer at earliest after the Belgian striker outlined his desire to remain with the Ligue 1 club in a bid to boost his chances of being involved in Marc Wilmot’s Belgium squad for Euro 2016. The 22-year-old is seen as a striker able to provide competition and support for Harry Kane, but The Mirror claim that the £35m-rated forward wants to stay with Marseille after breaking into the Belgium set-up earlier this year.

One player who looks set to leave White Hart Lane is defender Federico Fazio, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Argentine will be moved on in January along with Andros Townsend. Fazio is likely to move back to the continent having joined from Spanish side Sevilla, while Townsend is reportedly wanted by West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle and Southampton.

Finally, reports in Italy claim that Liverpool are monitoring FC Basel striker Breel Embolo, with the 18-year-old also said to be wanted by Manchester United.
