Gareth Bale is heading for the exit door at Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain, and Manchester United are ready to welcome him to Old Trafford.

Spanish newspaper AS have put the winger on their front page this morning with the headline: 'Bale is looking for an exit'.

The paper report that Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett met Real Madrid president Florentino Perez on Wednesday morning to speak about the future of the 25-year-old.

AS claim that Manchester United are ready to pay €120million (£85.8m) to bring Bale to Old Trafford and plan to use assistant manager Ryan Giggs to talk his countryman into a move.

Bale has struggled in his second year in Madrid, scoring just 13 goals in La Liga with the club set to end the season without a trophy.
