Samuel Eto'o's agent has announced the player has reached an agreement with Inter Milan.

Inter have been in negotiations with Eto'o and his agent for the past few days after Barca had an offer of 45 million plus the Cameroon striker for Zlatan Ibrahimovic accepted. Alexander Hleb will also join Inter on loan.

And, after today's meeting with the Serie A champions, Josep Maria Mesalles told reporters the deal is all but complete.

"It's done," he said. "We have reached an agreement with Inter.

"Samuel talked to (coach Jose) Mourinho yesterday and is very happy to be wearing the Nerazzurri shirt.

"All the details have been filed."

Reports suggest Eto'o has penned a five-year deal with Inter and will earn 10.5million euros a season.

It brings an end to the 28-year-old's five-year stay at the Nou Camp.

Mesalles added that Eto'o will join up with his new team-mates next week.

"It's complete harmony with us and the Nerazzurri club," he continued. "We are very happy and satisfied.

"The deal's sealed, next week he will start working with Inter.

"As soon as he signs the contract he will be at Mourinho's disposal."

The agreement will probably give the green light for Ibrahimovic's move in the opposite direction.

The clubs have yet to confirm the news but Inter announced this morning that Ibrahimovic's injury is not as serious as first feared.

The Sweden striker was injured during the friendly defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday night but the Nerazzurri have confirmed he has only severely sprained his right wrist.

There was some bad news for Inter on Patrick Vieira's injury, which is more serious. The France midfielder has torn a ligament in his left index finger and the club will assess in the next few days whether surgery is necessary.
