Solanke was yet to make an appearance for Jürgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders this season and had only been named in the matchday squad once.
The 21-year-old had attracted loan interest from several top-flight clubs ahead of the January window, including Crystal Palace, Fulham and Huddersfield Town.
Bournemouth quickly emerged as permanent suitors for the former Chelsea youngster, however, with the England international signing a long-term contract.
“I think the club is going somewhere,” Solanke told Bournemouth’s official website.
“Over the past few years, they have been really good in the Premier League and had some good positional finishes as well. I think it’s a good club to be at, especially for someone of my age.”
Solanke joined Liverpool last summer from Chelsea in search of regular first-team opportunities but scored just once in 27 appearances.
However, having starred at the 2017 Under 20s World Cup, Solanke was awarded a senior international cap by England manager Gareth Southgate in November 2017.
Nathaniel Clyne is expected to join Solanke at Bournemouth, with the right back arriving at the Vitality Stadium on loan until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has made only five Liverpool appearances this season, having lost his starting place last term due to a back injury.
Klopp has preferred Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back for the past 18 months, while Joe Gomez, James Milner and Fabinho can all provide cover in the position.
Liverpool do not intend to allow Adam Lallana to leave the club on loan during the January window.
The former Southampton midfielder has had limited opportunities under Klopp this season, like Clyne, but he is still viewed as a first-team asset.
