Reports suggested the Blues had initiated talks with West Ham regarding the 28-year-old, who Moyes says he doesn’t want to lose.
Carroll has been out of favour under the new manager, making only two starts since his arrival in November.
“They’ve not made contact with me,” said Moyes, “so if they’ve made contact with someone else I don’t know about it.
“At the moment Andy Carroll is one of my squad,” he added. “I want to add to the squad not lose players from my squad. I know nothing about it.”
Moyes’ comments came after West Ham’s 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury in an FA Cup third-round replay, courtesy of an extra-time winner from youngster Reece Burke. Carroll didn’t feature in the game due to an ankle injury.
“I don’t know who the sources are – but maybe you know that better than me,” Moyes said in a post-match press conference. “I like to try and always tell you what I know.
“I think there’s been a lot of rumours regarding a loan, but as far as I know it’s never officially come from Chelsea.”
Carroll has previously voiced his concerns with being left on the sidelines for the Hammers.
“It’s been tough,” he said. ”I’ve been wanting to play. I’ve been wanting to get there and start. It’s hard when you’re coming on for the last 20 minutes. I don’t want to be an impact player coming off the bench.”
