The Portuguese is accused of defrauding Spanish authorities of €14.7m (£12.95m) between 2011 and 2014, a move which apparently caused the Ballon d’Or winner to decide his future lay away from Spain.
Manchester United have been linked with bringing the 32-year-old back to Old Trafford but, while refusing to deny Ronaldo is unhappy, Perez revealed he believes he will stay in the Spanish capital.
"I know Cristiano is angry, but I think he will stay," Perez told esRadio. "I haven't spoken with him," Perez said of Ronaldo. "The only thing that has to be done is to wait and talk after the Confederations [Cup]."
Perez is yet to speak to Ronaldo in person with him currently away on international duty with Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russia but did confirm he has had conversations with his agent, Jorge Mendes, while also backing his man to come through his legal problems.
"I have spoken with Mendes about him. No need to worry more than [is needed],” he added. "He is a man of integrity and has fulfilled with his duties.
“There are many people who have wanted to hurt him with taxes and other topics and he feels it."
Ronaldo took legal advantage of what is known in Spain as 'the Beckham law' - which allows foreign sportspersons to pay 24.75 per cent income tax, rather than the 48 per cent applied to Spanish nationals. Athletes must still, however, pay taxes on other income earned in Spain.
In Ronaldo's case, the former United winger is accused of having diverted some €150m of advertising revenue through a shell company in the British Virgin Islands.
Ronaldo will testify in the case next month.
