From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Antonio Conte has already made a strong impression at Chelsea having secured Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante three days after his official arrival at Stamford Bridge.

The former Leicester midfielder became the club’s second signing of the summer after Michy Batshuayi joined the Blues earlier this month in a deal worth £33m.

But Conte isn’t stopping there. Although he is expected to release a number of current players deemed surplus to requirements, the 46-year-old will be looking to strengthen the Chelsea squad with more big signings.

The Italian is attempting attempt to refashion the Chelsea squad back into a Premier League-winning side again and has set his sights on some of the biggest players from the continent.

Alvaro Morata, Radja Nainggolan, Joao Mario – some of Europe’s best have been linked with a move to Chelse.

With well over a month to go until deadline day, expect there to be plenty more new faces down at Stamford Bridge by summer's end.
