The striker, who only returned to the Santiago Bernabeu last week after the buy-back clause in his Juventus contract was activated, will only be allowed to leave for approximately €75m.
Leonardo Bonucci is another target, according to the Daily Mirror, and Chelsea are refusing to give up on the 29-year-old defender despite competition from Manchester City.
Antonio Conte, the club’s new manager, took charge of Bonnuci during their time together at Juventus, as well as during this summer’s European Championships.
Kalidou Koulibaly, another centre-back, could also be on his way to Stamford Bridge. The west London club have tabled a £34m bid, reports the Evening Standard, with £2.5m following in add-ons.
The 25-year-old Napoli defender was the subject of an initial £19m bid last month, which was turned down by the Serie A club.
The final name in Chelsea’s Italian job lot could be Antonio Candreva, the Lazio winger. According to Gianluca di Marzio, the 29-year-old international is seen as a replacement for misfit Juan Cuadrado.
