According to The Guardian, the £33.2m summer signing from Marseille has caught the attentions of Slaven Bilic, who is interested in taking Batshuayi on a temporary basis until the end of the season.
However, Conte is keen to keep the Belgium international on as back-up for Diego Costa, who is suspended for Boxing Day’s meeting with Bournemouth.
Costa, meanwhile, will reportedly be handed a new contract by Chelsea as a reward for his fine form so far this season.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Premier League’s leading scorer is set to see his salary bumped up to within the region of £200,000-a-week.
Costa signed £150,000-a-week, five-year-long terms upon joining from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014, and his goals fired Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side to the title the following year.
In terms of incomings, Simon Kjaer is apparently a transfer window target for Antonio Conte, despite his side’s already impressive defence.
The Fenerbahce centre-back has been linked with a move to west London by sections of the Turkish media but, according to ESPN, an offer is yet to be made.
Kjaer, who joined Fenerbahce in the summer of 2015, impressed in his side’s Europa League win over Manchester United last month.
