Cesc Fabregas will stay and fight for his place at Chelsea after turning down move to a number of clubs, including lucrative offers from China.

The 29-year-old was top of the list from clubs from the Chinese Super League as they looked to make Fabregas their latest marquee signing, while AC Milan were also monitoring his situation.

However, according to ESPN, has rejected the overtures and is determined to win his place back in the Chelsea team and prove to Antonio Conte that he can feature in the new-look 3-4-3 formation.

It is also understood that he will not seek a loan away in January either, and that suggestions of a move to West Ham were wide of the mark.

Fabregas’ future has looked in doubt since Conte’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, with the Spaniard being limited to four Premier League appearances as the former Italy boss appears to have settled on N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic as his first-choice central midfield partnership.

Only one of those appearances have been from the start, with his last appearance being the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal at the end of September.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder is expected back from injury after the international break, as is defender Kurt Zouma, who has missed over a year of first-team football.

Another player who is not expected to leave Chelsea this season is Branislav Ivanovic, who has fallen victim to Conte’s desire to play three at the back.

Like Fabregas, he is not thought to be considering a move to West Ham and will stay and fight for his place.
