Antonio Conte’s transfer plans for Chelsea are already starting to shape up, if you believe the speculation printed across many of Tuesday’s newspapers.

The Italy coach, who will arrive at Stamford Bridge following this summer’s European Championships, will already be preparing to restructure the championship-winning squad that dramatically fell into mid-table mediocrity this term.

A number of key players look likely to leave the club, with John Terry’s departure all but confirmed and Diego Costa reportedly pining after a return to Spain. There are other squad members whose market value remains high despite a season of disappointment and, therefore, they too may well be dispensable.

What’s certain, however, is that whoever Conte sells will need to be replaced by genuine quality. He may look back to some members of his old Juventus side, which he won three Serie A titles with between 2011 and 2014.

Then there’s the plethora of fringe players and youngsters who are currently on loan at other clubs. Those who have impressed elsewhere could provide much needed competition to a starting line-up which rested on its laurels until recently.

Who could Conte ship out of Stamford Bridge and who might come in to replace them?
