Chelsea have endured their worst spell of form of the Roman Abramovich era.

After picking up just 11 points from their first 12 Premier League matches, the defending champions are languishing in 16th place, already 15 points behind Manchester City and Arsenal at the top of the table.

With their title defence already seemingly over - and their place in next season's Champions League under threat - Jose Mourinho (if he remains in charge) will surely be given a large sum of money to improve the squad and get rid of some of the deadwood.

Because of their current predicament plenty of players are being linked with the Blues, some realistic and others a little bit more fanciful.
