The Polish striker, who has stood out so far at the European Championships, has been the centre of speculation after his national team manager Franciszek Smuda tipped him for a move to Manchester.
Dortmund’s highly rated midfielder Shinji Kagawa has already joined United in a £17m pound move and Smuda sparked speculation that £40m rated Lewandowski would be following his team-mate to Old Trafford.
But the chief executive of the German champions has said that these claims are far from the truth.
In an interview with Sportinformationsdiest he said: “It does not matter if we are to receive bids.
"I have said for weeks that Robert will be back in training with our club after the Euro 2012 and his holiday leave. And this is what will happen.
"I am sick of these speculations. I really don't care what the rumours are in the media of Poland.”
In addition to Lewandowski’s move, Smuda also said that fellow Poland internationals Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski would be leaving Dortmund this summer.
“Lewy (Lewandowski) is going to Manchester United, Kuba (Blaszczykowski) also somewhere in England, and Piszczek to Real," Poland's head coach said before Friday’s opening game against Greece.
But Watzke let his feelings be known: “I am sick of these speculations. I really don’t care what the rumours are in the media of Poland. I have a detailed knowledge of media in Poland and therefore I know how I have to classify those reports.”
Lewandowski himself has been very quiet on the issue, refusing to commit himself either way until after Euro 2012: “I'm not going to concentrate on these issues (joining United).
“Euro 2012 is the priority. I'm totally focused on the national team.”
