Bacary Sagna has told French television that he has not yet signed for Manchester City, but did add that he hopes to have his future sorted before the start of the World Cup in 17 days.
The right-back, who is out of contract at Arsenal next week, told Telefoot:
"Have I already signed a contract with Manchester City? No, that is not true.
"My situation will be sorted out before the World Cup, but I haven't signed for anyone so far."
He added: "We all have our own destiny and I will try to find mine."
Sagna has been an integral part of Arsene Wenger's team since he joined from Auxerre seven years ago, and while the Gunners have made him repeated offers this season, they have never been close to agreeing the longer deal that the 31-year-old wanted.
He has reportedly been offered a three-year deal at City, and had been only offered a two-year extension to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
