Incoming Chelsea signing Baba Rahman says he is "looking forward to meet the fans" after the Blues reached an agreement with Augsburg for the left-back.
The transfer of the defender, who could become a new cult hero at Stamford Bridge, was announced soon after Chelsea were defeated 3-0 by Manchester City on, Sunday.
Rahman, who cost a reported £17.5m, said: "I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I can't wait to train with my new team-mates and very much looking forward to working with them and Mr Mourinho.
"I am also looking forward to having the opportunity to meet the fans as soon as possible."
The 21-year-old was an integral part of Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations squad who finished runners-up to the Ivory Coast.
Rahman will wear the No 17 shirt. Previous incumbents of the number for Chelsea include Eden Hazard, Jose Bosingwa and Albert Ferrer.
He will provide competition for the place at left-back with Cesar Azpilicueta, after Filipe Luis, who returned to Atletico Madrid for £18m.
