Arsenal have scouted the Manchester United target, Renato Sanches, according to reports.

The Daily Mail have reported that both Premier League teams have scouted the Benfica midfielder recently, and on Saturday they had watched him play the full 90 minutes of Benfica's 2-1 league win at Academica.

Previous reports have claimed that United have begun negotiations with the club to sort an agreement for the highly-rated 18-year-old, but Bayern Munich, PSV Eindhoven and now Arsenal are also all interested.

Sanches's contract at Benfica expires in 2021, and the Portuguese teenager reportedly has a buy-out clause of £60m.

He has won two caps for the Portugal national team at full international level.

Sanches has been an everpresent in the Benfica side this season, making 18 appearances in all competitions for the club.

Manchester United are next in action against West Ham in their FA Cup quarter-final replay on Wednesday night, while Arsenal are next up against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
