Your support makes all the difference. It’s déjà vu for Arsenal as a number of long-term injuries leaves them down to the bare bones of their squad, with the latest first-team player to be ruled out being Mesut Özil and Laurent Koscielny taking their injury toll into double figures.
Luckily for Arsene Wenger, the January transfer window is already on the horizon (haven’t you missed it?) and the 64-year – who celebrates his birthday on Wednesday with a trip to Anderlecht – confirmed yesterday that the club will look to sign at least one new player in the New Year.
“We could have bought one more player but we didn’t find one,” Wenger said at Arsenal’s Annual General Meeting. “We will try in January to rectify that because we are a bit short because of the injuries that we had. Overall I think we will rectify that in the transfer market in January.”
So who could Arsenal sign to help give their Premier League campaign a much needed boost as well as help them to defend their FA Cup trophy?
We take a look at those players that are either on the Arsenal radar or would suit a mid-season move to the Gunners.
