Arsenal are set for a pivotal summer as Unai Emery bids to transform their squad on a restricted budget, having missed out on Champions League qualification.

After missing out on a top four finish, the Gunners fell short in their bid to slip in through the back door by winning the Europa League, as Chelsea ran out 4-1 winners in Baku.

Now though, the Gunners aim to nail each of their transfers, with the promising start to life in north London for Lucas Torreira likely to see them return to Sampdoria this summer.

Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen are two targets, with the midfielder and defender already attracting a €48m (£42.8m) bid, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italians want at least €55m (£49.1m).

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Eric Bailly have been boosted after Manchester United‘s perceived progress in signing Saint-Etienne’s William Saliba. The Gunners could land the Ivorian if they match the £30m fee United paid Villarreal in 2016, according to the Metro.

It’s not such good news concerning their pursuit of Eibar’s Joan Jordan, who has been seen as a potential Aaron Ramsey replacement.

The 24-year-old has an enticing €15m (£13.4m) release clause, but Marca claim he is intent on picking Sevilla ahead of the Gunners.

Ryan Fraser is not sure where his future lies, with Arsenal strongly linked throughout the last season.

The Bournemouth star, who scored eight and assisted 15 more last term, told the BBC he is unsure what will happen: “The lads have been asking (about my future).

“I don’t know myself so there’s no point thinking about it, wherever I’ll be, I’ll be. I don’t know what is happening. I’m not just saying that.”

Former Arsenal loanee Denis Suarez is still available, but Barcelona will not drop their €20m valuation, report Mundo Deportivo, with Celta Vigo and Valencia seemingly keener than the Gunners.
