Another Arsenal player making the move to Manchester City is seemingly all but done with Bacary Sagna set to hold formal talks with the Premier League champions to complete a free move at the end of the season, according to reports.

Sagna has been linked with a move away from the Emirates when his contract expires this summer and now the defender looks set to meet up with some of his ex-teammates at City.

Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri both joined City in 2011 and now Sagna, barring a major collapse in talks, would be the third Arsenal first team player to make the switch.

The Frenchman is set to pen a four-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.

Reports have also said that the 31-year-old wants to complete any negotiations before he meets up with France’s World Cup squad for Brazil, so that he can have a clear mind-set for the showpiece tournament.

Sagna's exit from the club would suggest that manager Arsene Wenger will need to sign a new right back before next season, with Carl Jenkinson the only recognised player in that position.

Kolo Toure also left the Gunners for the Etihad, although he has since moved on and has just completed his first season with Premier League runners-up Liverpool.

There have also been reports about club-captain Thomas Vermaelen leaving the Gunners this summer, increasing the need for defensive reinforcements in the transfer window.
