Dortmund double?

Arsenal are weighing up a sensational £63m double deal for Borussia Dortmund pair Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels, according to the Daily Star.

It has been a woeful time for the German side this season, with the club currently languishing in 17th place in the Bundesliga.

£35m-rated Hummels raised the prospect of leaving in recent quotes attributed to him, saying that he wants to make "good decisions" for his future.

"I have gotten offers from different clubs ever since I have been with Dortmund," the 26-year-old said.

"I have always decided not to leave. I think I have made some good decisions and I want to make those in the future as well."

Rival bid...

Another player linked with a move to the Emirates is West ham defender Winston Reid. The Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham, however, are believed to be ready to make a rival bid.

The Daily Mail have reported that Spurs are willing to meet the New Zealand defender's £60,000 per week wage demands, but are happy to wait until the summer to complete the deal, as the 26-year-old will be available for free then.

Out in smoke...

Wojeciech Szczesny could be heading nearer to the exit door at the Emirates, with reports from Italy surfacing today that Arsenal are interested in Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

Perin, 22, won his first cap for the national side last year and is the No 2 to the great Gianluigi Buffon for Italy.

Szczesny's off-field behaviour was recently brought to the spotlight - the Pole was was fined for smoking in the shower after his terrible performance in the 2-0 loss at Southampton.
