After Petr Cech signed for Arsenal this afternoon, social media has been rife with gleeful comments from Gunners' players welcoming the Czech 'keeper to the Emirates after 11 years at Chelsea.

The 33-year-old moves for £11m on a four-year contract.

Twitter, Instagram and Facebook were full of messages from Arsenal players delighted with the news, including Cech's goalkeeping rival at the Emirates - Wojciech Szczesny.

The Polish stopper Szczesny wrote on Facebook: "Delighted to have a chance to learn from one of the best GK's in the world!"

So far, Cech has replied to tweets from Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott, already enjoying the dressing room japes already it seems.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: “Petr Cech is a player that I have admired for a long time and I am very pleased that he has decided to join us. He has proven over many seasons that he is one of the outstanding keepers in the world and he will add great strength to our squad.”
