From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Both of Arsenal's new goalkeeper shirts have now officially been revealed, and unfortunately for their displaced No 1 Wojciech Szczesny, they have not gone with his favoured short sleeves.

Szczesny lost his place as Arsenal No 1 to David Ospina halfway through last season, and now it appears kit manufacturers Puma do not have him in mind either.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with an £11m move for Chelsea stopper Petr Cech this summer.

Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon said this week: "I think [Cech] still has three or four excellent seasons in him.
