Everton are hoping to complete the season-long loan deal for Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj by the end of this week.

The Liverpool Echo have reported that Toffees manager Roberto Martinez is a long-term admirer of the Belgium international, and is hopeful of sorting a season-long loan for the 20-year-old

Januzaj is the only United player to score in the Premier League this season, netting the winner against Aston Villa. Their only other goal in the division this term was Kyle Walker's own goal in the win over Tottenham.

Martinez revealed yesterday, after the Toffees' 2-0 defeat by Manchester City, that he is seeking three more signings before the 1 September deadline.

"It’s going to be important the next few days," Martinez said.

"I expect a couple of signings to happen."

Januzaj has started in all three of United's Premier League games this season.
