Your support makes all the difference.Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that despite recent rumours, AC Milan have made no contact regarding Andy Carroll.
Sources in Italy have claimed that the Serie A giants are keen on bringing the big striker to Milan, with a loan deal being most preferable.
Carroll struggled with the pressure of his hefty price tag following his move to Anfield, but his form towards the end of last season coupled with some impressive displays and a towering header in Euro 2012 have caught the eye of the Rossoneri owners.
When asked about the Geordie’s future, Rodgers said that the 23-year-old was in his plans for the club and that he would be linked to transfers wherever he was simply because he was a good player.
He told Sky Sports News: "He's a good player, Andy. He will always be linked whether he was here or not.
"I have spoken to Andy on his holidays and he knows exactly where he stands. He's a very good young player and he will be linked with clubs like that because he's such a good player."
When asked whether there had been a formal approach from Milan, Rodgers added: "I haven't heard anything from them at all."
Rodgers also suggested that having returned from loan spells away from the club, Joe Cole and Alberto Aquilani would have an opportunity to prove themselves again, following difficult starts at Anfield.
Rodgers said: "Both players are back. I had a good chat with Alberto the other day. He's a good guy and it obviously hasn't quite worked out for him as of yet. But he's a player that has got the qualities, the technical ability, to play.
"What's going to be important for every player is that they have the steel and the mindset to play. That's something I will find out about all of the players during pre-season."
