Chelsea remain interested in 21-year-old Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouamen, according to Goal, and will consider making a move in the next two windows.

The Blues were linked with a move for the France international in the summer as they look to strengthen their midfield options.

The loan signing of Saul Niguez has not been a success, while Declan Rice also remains a long-time target, but Chelsea see adding wing-back cover as their main priority in January.

Wolves have completed the signing of Japanese international midfielder Hayao Kawabe on a three-and-a-half year deal.

In case you missed it yesterday, Everton have completed the signing of Scotland international right-back Nathan Patterson from Rangers on a five-and-a-half year deal.

The 20-year-old has signed a contract until June 2027 and Everton have paid a reported fee of £11 million for the defender, a record for Rangers.

Patterson becomes Everton’s second signing of the window following the arrival of Ukraine international left-back Vitalii Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv. Everton were interested in signing Patterson last summer but were unable to complete the deal.

“I’m over the moon to sign for Everton and looking forward to getting started,” Patterson told Everton’s official website.

“It was an easy choice to sign. This is a massive club with huge history and the fanbase is tremendous. Obviously we aren’t in the place where we want to be right now but we can definitely get there with the talent in the changing room and staff here, and I have full belief we can do that.”

Manchester City aren’t looking to replace Ferran Torres in January.

The 21-year-old Spain forward has joined Barcelona in a £47m deal leaving a space in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Aaron Ramsey has been linked with a return to the Premier League with Newcastle, Everton and West Ham all said to be interested in offering the Wales international a route out of Juventus.

Ramsey, who joined the Italian side in 2018, has made just four starts for Juventus so far this season and has struggled to settle in Serie A.

Reports claim that Juventus would allow the 31-year-old to leave the club this window but Sky Sports say the Italian side and Ramsey have knocked back an approach from Burnley.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to leave Arsenal in the coming hours after agreeing to join Roma on loan until the end of the season.

Maitland-Niles has started just four games for Arsenal this season and was close to joining Everton in the summer.

The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom and is under contract at Arsenal until 2023.

Napoli and Italy star Lorenzo Insigne has agreed to join MLS side Toronto FC when his deal with the Serie A club expires at the end of the season.

The Guardian report that Insigne has signed a five-and-a-half year contract with Toronto and the deal is expected to be announced in the coming days.

Insigne, 30, has played for Napoli for his entire career and starred for Italy on their run to the Euro 2020 title last summer.
