Ross County stun Celtic to reach final

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

County's keeper, Michael McGovern, expected to be busier during the semi-final win at Hampden on Saturday, but the former Hoops player was virtually a spectator at times as the First Division side more than matched the Glasgow giants.
Even an expected Hoops' onslaught after Steven Craig put the Dingwall side ahead in the 54th minute failed to materialise and, aside from saving a Marc-Antoine Fortuné strike from close range, he watched the Staggies defence hold firm until Martin Scott scored a dramatic late clincher.
"It was unbelievable," the Irishman said. "It must be one of the biggest shocks ever and, to say the least, I am happy."
In the second semi-final, Dundee United dumped out Raith Rovers with goals from David Goodwillie and Andy Webster either side of the break, meaning Ross County are likely to play European football next season, provided United's form holds long enough to secure a Europa League spot.
