Your support makes all the difference.Dundee United's Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Rangers has again fallen victim to the weather, the Scottish Premier League have confirmed.
The re-arranged fixture was set to take place at Tannadice tomorrow night but has been called off on the advice of the police due to adverse weather conditions.
A decision has yet to be taken on a new date for the match, which was originally supposed to take place on November 28.
A statement from the SPL confirmed: "Tuesday night's Clydesdale Bank Premier League match between Dundee United and Rangers at Tannadice has been postponed following advice from the police.
"A new date for the game will be announced in due course."
Heavy snowfall in the area meant the game was thrown into doubt, with Rangers manager Walter Smith anticipating the postponement earlier today.
Speaking this morning, he said: "That was the reason we had the whole card cancelled a couple of weeks ago, the fact that conditions for supporters travelling in weren't ideal.
"We would want, if it could, for the game to go ahead but taking into account the situation of the travelling support, we will just have to wait and see."
Severe weather conditions mean Dundee United have not played a game since their 1-1 draw with Celtic at Parkhead on November 20.
Next up for Peter Houston's men is the Boxing Day visit of Hamilton if that fixture is given the green-light, while Rangers are set to travel to Motherwell.
Rangers' meeting with St Mirren at the weekend was called off due to significant water damage caused by burst pipes at Ibrox, meaning they have had just one game - the 1-1 draw at Inverness - in the last month.
Meanwhile, a pitch inspection will be held on Wednesday morning to determine whether Hamilton's home match against Hibernian will go ahead later that day.
Celtic's visit to New Douglas Park was postponed on Saturday after water from a burst pipe damaged Hamilton's undersoil heating controls.
An Accies statement today read: "The water and electrical problem which prevented the undersoil heating system from functioning at the weekend is being repaired but isn't expected to be concluded till early evening tomorrow, assuming a successful repair.
"However, it has been down to -10 over the weekend, the pitch is presently frozen solid, and it is to be -7 tonight and -6 daytime tomorrow.
"Notwithstanding the repair to the electrical heating pumps, the club would advise that there is a doubt at this stage over the game going ahead, but we shall give it every chance."
