Your support makes all the difference.Ronald De Boer has declared himself fit for Rangers in tonight's Uefa Cup decider against Feyenoord in Rotterdam, but his fellow Dutchman Bert Konterman remains doubtful because of a toe injury. Both will undergo medical assessment to see if there has been any adverse reaction to yesterday's training session.
De Boer, who missed the first leg because of a foot injury picked up on international duty the week before, said: "I think I will play." And manager Alex McLeish was also confident of having the Dutchman back. He said: "I think Ronald will make it. We will see if there are any after-effects from training but he trained with us yesterday and is feeling good."
After a 1-1 Ibrox first leg draw, Rangers know they must score at least once to have any chance of taking on Leeds or PSV Eindhoven in the quarter-finals. And they will be without right-back Fernando Ricksen, whose booking last week pushed him over the disciplinary threshold. But Feyenoord also have striker Jon Dahl Tomasson missing through suspension.Rangers' head of security, Laurence Macintyre, has again warned Rangers fans without tickets to stay away from Rotterdam. Around 7,000 saw the previous round's victory over Paris St Germain from seats designated for home fans and, while there was minimal trouble on that occasion, the first leg was marred by fighting.
The Feyenoord manager, Bert van Marwijk, stormed out of a press conference yesterday after being questioned about his side's poor league form although he did stop to pose for a photograph.
