The devout Christian, who refused to have surgery on a cruciate ligament injury saying he would put his faith in God to heal him, has been training all week with no ill effects. "It looks like I have a decision to make," McLeish said. "I think most players have an inner fitness as regards what they did in pre-season. Then, I suppose, sharpness is the next question.
"I cannot order him to have an operation, you have to respect a human being's mind set and it has been a real unique situation."
Celtic, seeking their 40th title, top the league on 83 points from 33 games while Rangers, hunting their 51st championship, sit second with 81 points from the same number of games.
Chris Sutton and Didier Agathe look set to return to the Celtic side, but Joos Valgaeren (ankle), Stéphane Henchoz (calf) and Ulrik Laursen (leg) are doubts.
