Arne Slot’s side are already guaranteed an automatic place in the competition’s last 16, and they will simply fighting for top spot tonight.
They only need to avoid defeat to guarantee finishing top of the competition’s inaugural league phase table, and they will be confident of getting at least a draw as they face PSV.
The Eindhoven-based side are currently leading the Eredivisie but they sit in 19th in the European table ahead of kick-off. Peter Bosz’s side could yet be eliminated from the competition depending on results around them, so the Reds can expect a tough test.

Team news
For PSV, Sergino Dest remains out until February, while midfielder Malik Tilman and defender Adamo Ngalo are sidelined on a longer-term basis.
Liverpool have left a host of senior players at home as Arne Slot looks to rotate a little with qualification already assured. Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker. Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Luis Diaz have all remained on Merseyside.
Defender Joe Gomez returned to training on Tuesday after missing seven matches with a hamstring injury but he too has remained to continue his recovery. Midfielder Curtis Jones, who missed Saturday’s win over Ipswich with a groin problem, and striker Diogo Jota, who has been out for a fortnight with a muscle injury, have yet to rejoin the squad.
