Your support makes all the difference.Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits he would welcome Ashley Young in his squad, but expects Aston Villa not to sell the England winger.
Redknapp has been linked with the 24-year-old, who earned the PFA Young Player of the Year award after his performances last season and could solve Tottenham's problems on the left flank.
"Everybody would like to have him, but I don't think there is a chance we would get him," Redknapp said after the 3-0 pre-season win over Olympiacos yesterday.
Redknapp is also an admirer of Celtic midfielder Scott Brown, although he does not expect any more arrivals ahead of next week's Premier League opener against Liverpool.
Against Greek champions Olympiacos, out-of-favour midfielders David Bentley and Kevin-Prince Boateng were given rare appearances. "David is a great crosser and he can make goals for Crouchy," Redknapp said. Roman Pavlyuchenko scored the opener against Olympiacos with Vedran Corluka and Jermain Defoe wrapping up the scoring.
