From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Wolves are offering a new one-year contract to veteran defender Jody Craddock.
Craddock confirmed to Press Association Sport last week that he wanted to continue playing for another campaign.
Now Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is to make the additional 12-month offer to 35-year-old Craddock.
Craddock was Wolves player of the year for the 2009-2010 campaign.
He suffered injury problems last season, including a hip setback, before returning for the finale of the campaign to help keep Wolves in the Barclays Premier League.
McCarthy said: "Jody is proven at the top level. He has proved that over the last few games of the season.
"His experience was vital to us at the end of the season. He has been as good as anybody.
"He is one that everyone looks up to with the way he conducts himself.
"He's brilliant. He shows such great professionalism. He is a humble guy who just comes in and does his work. He is fantastic."
Former Sunderland player Craddock joined Wolves eight years ago in a £1.75million deal.
